Vanderbilt Properties Insurance Brokerage is a full service Insurance Brokerage, Program Manager and Program Developer specializing in real estate.

As a premier specialist of insurance program administration for the real estate industry, we offer competitive programs for residential and commercial buildings throughout the country.

Vanderbilt Properties was formed in 1998 to provide property and casualty insurance products to owners, managers and developers of commercial and residential exposures located throughout New York City. In 2000 we created a wholesale division to make our product available nationally to the retail brokerage community on a very selective basis.

Our General Liability and Umbrella Liability products are both written under the Federal Risk Retention Act of 1986, which permits unrelated groups with similar or related liability risks to purchase insurance on a "group" basis. Our Risk Purchasing Group (R.P.G.) is not an insurance company and members do not share any liability, limits or coverages. By selecting exceptional clients our RPG is able to utilize group purchasing power to secure lower costs with financially stable insurance companies who have a commitment to the real estate industry. Underlying carriers must meet the minimum A.M. Best rating of A-VI. Presently each of our insurance carriers are rated A or better by A.M. Best.

Recently, we added a Personal Lines Division to the Vanderbilt Program. If you have a house, townhouse, brownstone (1 or 2 unit) or condo / co-op unit, we can help you secure coverage in or out of New York City on a replacement cost basis.
